Penny auctions
- How do I participate in the auctions?
To participate in the auctions you need to buy a bid package, or use the free bids received during registration or through our various promotions. As long as you have sufficient bids in your balance, you can click the “BID”-button to place your bid on an auction.
- How much does a bid cost?
A bid costs 20p - 80p. Bids are sold in packages of various sizes. You can find an overview of the different packages in the sidebar and on the "Buy Bids"-page. Bidit.eu also has various campaigns and promotions where you can get discounted or free bids.
- How do I buy bids?
You can easily buy bids by pressing one of the featured bid packages in the sidebar after you log in. Here you will also find a button to the "Buy Bids"-page, where all of our bid packages are available.
- Can I take back a bid?
No. A bid that has been placed has already been processed by the system, and therefore can not be returned to your balance.
- Can I exchange my bids into cash?
No. Purchased bids can only be used at Bidit.eu and our partner sites.
- What are autobids?
Autobids is a function that automatically places a bid for you if the auction is about to finish without you leading the auction. Choose the number of bids you want to reserve for the auction, and Bidit.eu will automatically place them for you if the time is about to run out. This way you can win auctions even when you are away from home!
- What is the BID IT!-function?
The BID IT!-function sets the auction time to at least half of the ordinary. This increases your winning chances, as the time is more likely to run out before anyone bidding over you. The BID IT!-function is reserved to Gold Users of Bidit.eu.
- What does it mean when it says "BEGINNER" on an auction?
Auctions marked with “BEGINNER” are only open to new users of Bidit.eu. Win your first auction now!
- How many auctions can I win per week?
To make sure that all our users get the chance to make a bargain at Bidit.eu, there is a limit of 3 won auctions per week (except bid package auctions). We hope you’ll enjoy your won products and welcome you back for new bargains next week!
- What are the different product classes?
The products that are auctioned are divided into four classes according to the item's popularity and retail value. Placing a bid costs 1 bid on a Product Class 1 auction, 2 bids on a Product Class 2 auction, 3 bids on a Product Class 3 auction and 4 bids on a Product Class 4 auction.
- How long does an auction last?
Our auctions last until the auction time runs out without any new bids being placed. Some auctions end after only one bid, while others may last a bit longer.
- Is the time shown by auction clocks correct?
Our auction timers are as precise as possible. However, sometimes circumstances beyond our control, such as your internet connection, network traffic, hardware, software etc. can cause small delays that can affect the display of our timers.
- Why does it sometimes say "LOADING" or "PROCESSING" when the time runs out on an auction?
Because of circumstances such as your internet connection, network traffic, hardware, software etc., it may take up to a second before your bid is registered on our server. When the timer has the status "PROCESSING", this is because the server looks for bids that were placed in the last hundreds of a second before the time expired. If such a bid is found, the countdown will restart. If not, the auction ends, and the user who made the last bid wins the auction.
- What is wrong if the auction clocks freeze or get stuck on "LOADING" or "PROCESSING"?
If the auction clocks freeze or stay long on "LOADING” or "PROCESSING", this may be because you have lost the connection to our server. Try to press "Refresh" in your internet browser in order to establish connection with the server again. If this doesn´t work, please notify us at support-uk@bidit.eu.
