Penny Auctions
The user has access to all ongoing auctions, except auctions that are reserved for specific user groups, user classes or if the user has won the maximum allowed number of auctions for a certain time period. Any limitations to the auctions will be informed in the specific auction's information markings and text. Auctions marked as "BEGINNERS" are exclusive to new users of Bidit.eu.
To give most of our users a chance to make a bargain, Bidit.eu reserves the right to limit the amount of auctions a user can win within a given time period. Currently this limit is set to a maximum of 3 auctions per week (except bid packet auctions).
All auctions have a predetermined auction time. When a user places a bid, the auction timer starts counting down from the auction time towards zero. If another user places a bid before the time runs out, the clock resets and starts counting down from the initial auction time again. If a user is leading the auction and the timer reaches zero without any further bids being placed, the user wins the auction and gets to purchase the product for the price the auction ended at. At Bidit.eu the price only increases by 1 penny per bid. Placing a bid on an auction deducts a certain number of bids from the user's bid balance, depending on the retail value of the product that is being auctioned away. The products are currently separated into 3 different product classes, where bidding on a product class 1 auction deducts 1 bid per bid placed, a product class 2 auction deducts 2 bids per bid placed and a product class 3 auction deducts 3 bids per bid placed. Bidit.eu reserves the right to adjust the auction time for ongoing auctions. For example, if an auction initially has an auction time of 2 minutes, this time can be reduced to 1 minute without any prior notice.
All auctions are open between 8am and 10pm unless specified otherwise. At 10pm the auction timers are paused until the next morning at 8am. It is possible to place bids and autobids outside of opening hours. The auction price will increase as usual, and the user will be the leader of the auction. However, the timer will still be paused and the auction will not finish outside of opening hours.
Bidit.eu offers the service in several countries and is also part of Draw Auction Network. Some, if not all, auctions may be open in multiple countries and shared with any partner sites within the network. This means the users of other partner sites and in the other countries that Bidit.eu operates can place bids on the same auctions that are available at Bidit.eu.
Technical reservations
Bidit.eu is dedicated to keeping the auction timers on the site as precise at possible, and these are continuously synchronized with our servers. Still minor variations may occur from user to user due to different internet connections, network traffic, hardware or software. A bid on a an auction is accepted and valid only at the time it is registered by Bidit.eu's servers. The accepted bid is displayed in the information for the specific auction as well as in the user's control panel in the "Bid history"-section. Under normal circumstances, the bid is registered by the servers within 1 second. Bidit.eu can not be held responsible for any delays caused by technical conditions such as the users internet connection, network traffic or any other technical issues outside of Bidit.eu's control. An auction is closed if the time runs out without any new bids being registered. When an auction finished, all previous bids expire and will not be refunded. Some auctions may have a cashback promotion, where the user that had placed the most bids on the auction when it finished, receives a certain amount of bids regardless of who actually won the auction.
Bidit.eu can not guarantee that the user always will have access to the service, as conditions such as internet access, network traffic or other factors outside of Bidit.eu's control can affect the service.
The user is not allowed to utilize browser add-ons or other third party software to place bids or in any other way affect the auctions offered at Bidit.eu. Bidit.eu reserves the right to temporarily pause or even cancel auctions if cheating, hacking or other technical issues are suspected to have affected the auction. If such cases are discovered, all bidding history is stored in Bidit.eu's database and the auctions will continue as normal as soon as the problem is solved.
Winners
Should any uncertainties arise regarding a finished auction, Bidit.eu will contact the winner within 24 hours. Normally the auction is placed in the "Finished auctions"-section immediately. Bidit.eu reserves the right to contact a winner with information regarding payment, and also publish relevant information about the winner on the webstie and in additional promotions for Bidit.eu. However, Bidit.eu will not disclose information such as email address, address, surname, phone number etc.
Payment and shipping
When a user wins an auction he is offered to buy the product. Immediately after the auction is closed, the user will receive an email with further information regarding payment and shipping. The total price will be the price the auction closed at plus shipping costs (specified in the auction information for the auction). The payment must be made within 21 days after the auction is finished. If the user does not meet the payment deadline, he looses the right to purchase the product and the product will be put up for auction again. In such cases, the user will not be refunded any bids or money spent on that auction.
Several places on the website, Bidit.eu informs about how much a user can save/has saved by using the service. These amounts are calculated from the auction price compared to the retail value, and are only meant as approximate values. The user should keep in mind that any costs by placing bids on the auctions should also be taken into account.
All products are ordered from Bidit.eu's product suppliers after the auction is finished. Bidit.eu is dedicated to making sure that all ongoing auctions consist of available products. Still, events where the product is sold out or no longer offered by the supplier may occur. In such cases, Bidit.eu reserves the right to deliver the product with delay or replace the product with a similar one. Bidit.eu may also choose to replace the product with a money transfer equivalent of the product's retail value. Bidit will contact the user by email with further details should this be the case.
For products with multiple color options, it is the user's responsibility to notify Bidit.eu with a color preference as soon as possible. If Bidit.eu has not received any color choice at the time of order, Bidit.eu reserves the right to choose a color for the user.
Normally all products will be delivered to the user within 3-5 weeks after payment is registered. Bidit.eu can not be held responsible for any delays caused by product suppliers, postal services or other factors outside of Bidit.eu's control.
Bidit.eu has a 14 day return policy for all products given that the product is in it's sealed original packaging. In such cases the user will be refunded the auction price and the shipping cost for the product. Should a user want to return a product, he must notify customer service at support-uk@bidit.eu or use the return form from the product supplier (if attached to the shipment) within 14 days after the product is received. All products sold at Bidit.eu are new and covered by the producers guarantees. The user is encouraged to contact the producer directly should there be any problems with the product. Guarantee and contact information will be specified in the documentation included in the product packaging.
Should a user receive a damaged or incorrect product, the user must contact support-uk@bidit.eu immediately. All product descriptions and images are made as accurately as possible. Bidit.eu can not be held responsible for any deviations in product descriptions, images, colors etc.
In certain cases, Bidit.eu will order products directly from a product supplier that will ship the product to the user. In such cases, the user's name and shipping address will be supplied in order to ensure the correct and timely delivery of the product.
